As we prepare for our Evening With The Artists on February 28th, we have some amazing new work coming in for the show, so here is a sneak preview! Jordan will be at the gallery during the show, so if you're a fan of his work this is a great chance to meet him! Be sure to visit the 'Events' page on the website and RSVP!
It seems like spring is off to a bumpy start, with all of the alternating cold and warm weather, but it's looking like this week is going to warm up quite a bit! What a great opportunity to get those gardens started - there is nothing quite like fresh fruit and vegetables from your own garden in the summer. Today we have a lovely piece by Terri Hallman, fittingly titled 'Day Keeper'. Have a wonderful Monday everyone!
Wishing everyone a bright and sunny St. Patrick's Day with this stunning painting by Jordan Hicks! There may even be some clovers hidden in his lovely wildflowers. There are many legends associated with St Patrick. It is said that he used the three-leafed shamrock to explain the concept of the Trinity; which refers to the combination of Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Hence its strong association with his day and name. Legend also has that, Saint Patrick had put the curse of God on venomous snakes in Ireland and he drove them all into the sea where they drowned. True, these are mostly legends. But after some 1500 years, these legends have been inseparably combined with the facts. Together they have kept up the spirit behind celebration of the day.
In preparation for the holidays, we have a great new collection of paintings by Maya Eventov! From fresh florals to breezy winter scenes, we have something for everyone! Be sure to visit us as you do your last-minute shopping this weekend!
Those of you who made it to our Fall Colours event last light may have already had a chance to see this stunning new painting by Jordan Hicks! If you didn't make it last night, and you're in Mississauga, come by the gallery to day to see this amazing painting in person - you'll be glad you did!
We have great news for fans of Jordan Hicks' work! A lovely little collection of pieces just arrived yesterday, including a couple of miniature works, and they must be seen in person! "I believe in our natural world and it is the foundation for most of my work. I believe in original art and I am dedicated to producing work that has a personality, work that is real." - Jordan Hicks
